This is the 2nd of a series.

On May 2nd I'll be appearing with old friends Steven Butler and Mitch Byrd, and a variety of other artists, including Eric Powell (The Goon!) at 3-Alarm Comics in Biloxi, MS for their National Free Comics Day event. Looks like it's gonna be awesome fun, so come on down and say hi!

I'm still awaiting comfirmation on Mobicon.

It's been a long couple of weeks, with some interesting and cool surprizes here and there. Just found out that my brother, George Kalasountas, is getting married! Bout time!

I've cut back on smoking (haven't quit though), still drinking too much coffee, currently reading Michael Moorcock's 'The Dreamthief's Daughter', and listening to Tom Waits, The Cure, and U2. And I'm about to begin a secret project!

  Hope everyone's doing well!

It's been a long and tiring week! Lots of rain here down South!

Last Friday night was spent in downtown Mobile, seeing my old friends Frontiers journeytributeband.com play a gig at Soul Kitchen! Then it stormed!

I've been working a lot, but nothing quite ready for show.

Hope everyone's having a grat weekend!

  I could use a drink!

Me & Michael Moorcock! He and his wife, Linda, are two of the nicest people I've ever met!

Well, CoastCon 32 is over. It was a long and somewhat tiring weekend, but very rewarding on so many levels.

I'd like to thank Raymond Boudreau and Leanne Allen for your hospitality and assistance. And thanks to all the convention Staff for all your efforts, making it a very enjoyable and memorable weekend!

Thanks also to Michael & Linda Moorcock; you are both incredibly wonderful!

Thanks to John Picacio; you're an inspiration, brother!

Thanks to Chris Roberson; it's an honor to have sat alongside you and John for my very first panel!

Thanks to Steven Butler; I still have some of your dvds and books I need to get back to you! LOL!

Thanks to Virginia Hey; you're such a sweetheart!

Thanks also to Suzie, Mark, Tim, David, and all the crew, fans, friends, and fellow Guests.

Special thanks to my dear friend Phyllis Beshel for all your help and for being my guest!

Okay, here's some places you need to go and people you need to meet:

Above is my latest piece. It was actually inspired after seeing the Swedish film 'Let The Right One In' this week. I highly recommend this one!

Hope everyone's having a wonderful week!

I just got the news that Neil Gaiman's father passed away a few days ago. I've just sent my condolences to Neil, but I'm also posting one here. I wish him all the best comfort possible in this difficult moment.

And also, I'm sending out a 'Get Well' to my dear friend and writer Ingrid in Australia.

I went to Kansas last night. Actually, I went to a casino in D'Iberville, Mississippi and saw the legendary Rock band perform. It was my 9th show. Thanks going out to my good friend Eric Holmquist (drum-tech for Phil Ehart) for the VIP treatment, and to my newfound friend Matt for hanging with me throughout the night; we paid too much for the food!

I've been invited next month to come hang out and do some fishing with Eric, Matt, and Dave Hope (original bassist for Kansas) down in Florida. Looking forward to it!

I'm still hard at work getting prepped for CoastCon 32. Looking forward to meeting author Michael Moorcock, who I've been a fan of for years! Still got to dig out a few of my favorite novels for him to sign!

Hope all is well with you!

I haven't done the whole Mardi Gras thing in years, and this one is no exception. I worked. Haven't even had a drink today, other than lots of coffee!

Gave an old friend some piano lessons tonight.

Above is my latest piece. Hope you like it!

Hope your day has been filled with wonderment!

Thumbs up again to director Marcus Nispel for the new 'Friday The 13th' remake! When I saw his remake of 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' it disturbed me pretty much the same way the original had when I was a kid. I saw the '13th' remake tonight and loved it; many of the scenes were very unnerving! I remember seeing the original in the theater with my parents, watching it with my feet up in the seat and through my fingers! Considering most of the art I produce, it's difficult to get under my skin... Good job, Marcus!
